Why I homeschool. For me, I solely believe in the separation of church and state. I won't go into great detail as to why, because that is not the purpose of this post. While I do agree in separation of church and state, I also appreciate the fact that I can teach my children religion, or religious views in any way I see fit, in my homeschool endeavors. While I do not buy religious curriculum, I like the freedom of being able to pray, talk about religion, and all other religious or non-religious activities during our homeschool times. No one can tell me what I can or can not teach. I love it!
Tons of homeschool info, tips, and links. Homeschooling in Florida, plus lots of other great info. Join me on our Homeschool journey. I have been adding to this blog for almost our whole time as homeschoolers, eight years. There is an abundance of info at your fingertips.

Great post and I wholeheartedly agree with you. I only wish my hubby would let me homeschool. Ugh!
Amen Melissa! I find it interesting that many feel a curriculum is necessary for religion to be taught in the home. I think the best curriculum is living our beliefs. Praying, talking about gospel principals, and showing what they mean by example go on through out our homeschool day.
It sounds like homeschooling requires major dedication. Fortunately, our public schools are really good. Otherwise I would definitely consider homeschooling.
i really respect your thoughts Melissa, as a teacher from Philippines, sometimes, I feel like praying but I stop myself since when I was new here, I was told I should not because of the separation of church and state.
Love this post!!!!
Thank you guys, and yes Ms Anne homeschooling definitely takes a lot of dedication.
