Social Saturday at Otter Springs

I am excited about this new Saturday topic. I was asked to be an author for a new blog that will be beginning soon. It will be jointed with this blog to bring homeschoolers and the community together. The blog is not even up and running yet, but I am going to be starting Social Saturdays to practice finding info on social events in the area. I will be posting at least one event for during the week as well, for those of you who have to work weekends, and can't attend a weekend event. Please note any events I post for this topic are community events open to anyone who wishes to attend.

Today at Otter Springs park and campground, is some good old fashioned Bluegrass and Folk music. Here are the details as listed on the Chamber of Commerce website. Otter Springs Park and Campground Spring House Lodge
Be there at 7pm for real folk and bluegrass-based music performed by Dick Staber (vocal, mandolin) and Judith Chasnoff (vocal, guitar). This couple has been performing their unique brand of acoustic music since 1993. Pay at the door; park and event admission is $2/person (ages 6-59), $1/senior (60 ) and children are free. Campsites and cabins are available. For info call (352) 463-0800 for details. You can also visit the Otter Springs website for details for camping information.

Otter Springs is one of the springs, in Gilchrist County, that I have not had the pleasure of visiting yet.
