When I was a young girl, I used to go to Bingo, with my grandmother, and her friend Effie. We lived in upstate NY, and my grandmother loved Bingo. Whenever I would spend the night at her house, she would take me to play Bingo. Effie was a gruff, grumpy old lady, and I took great pride in irritating her. She was easy to irritate. Very often though, that would lead to me not paying attention to my Bingo cards. I actually won, once, and Effie caught it and screamed Bingo!! for me, at the top of her lungs. I really thought I had a heart attack. I was so excited. I won 25 dollars, that was a lot of money to me back then, and I could not wait to spend it. I tried not to harrass Effie, too much after that. I guess she wasn't as grumpy as I thought lol. Those memories, are special to me, since Effie, and my Grandma are no longer with us. My sister loved it so much, she still goes to Bingo, when she gets the chance. Now there is Disney Bingo. Who doesn't have a favorite Disney character, mine is Pooh.
