History of Mothers Day, Central Florida Endangered Plants

Yes, yesterday was Mothers Day, but I thought my kids might like to know the history of how Mothers Day began. This is a short documentary, explaining the tradition of Mothers Day.

Tomorrow for Science class we will be examining local endangered plants. I found this 25 min video on endangered plants in Central Florida.

Lesson Plans for 5/12/09:

Writing: Write a letter to Aunt Norma
Language Arts: adjectives, word studies

Have a great Monday, everyone

The animal babies in your video introduction were all so cute! I knew some of the history, but not all of it. Thank you for sharing.
