Today for Social Studies we pick back up on our studies of Brazil, with a lesson on deforestation. Please watch the videos to see how fast the rainforest will disappear if we continue on the path we are on. Our lesson includes a worksheet that will figure out how much rainforest is disappearing each and every day. Caitlin will also be doing Community maps, and I found the printable at Edhelper. Some of these are free, and some are not, so you will have to check to see which ones are if you wish to use it.

When I was much younger, a friend and I took a trip to visit a rain forest. It was absolutely beautiful.
You are so lucky Anne, to have been able to experience that.
