Beer, and pretzels, Ha Ha, just kidding. It is Fun Friday, on Blogging For Fun, and the topic is what are two things you could absolutely not live without. Without picking kids, or spouse, I have to say a clock, and toilet paper. In a disaster, or crisis situation I would not be able to live without those two things. A clock, because I absolutely can not stand not knowing what time it is. When the power goes out at night, I have to get up, and get my wristwatch and flashlight so I can see what time it is. Also toilet paper, I mean what would you use if you did not have any? If you have small kids you might have baby wipes available, kleenex, napkins but eventually those will run out too. Then you have very limited options of what you could use, that creeps me out, the thought of not being clean or dry. Matter of fact when it is hurricane season, and you have to have a bag ready for evacuation, I always have extra toilet paper in there. I guess it is a kind of Neurosis for me. If you would like to join in on Fun For Friday events, you can join our group at Blogging for Fun by clicking on the green box on the side of this blog. Come on you know you want to.
I really must add one more thing, I think I could not live without, and that is sunshine. Now obviously none of us would live, if there was no sun, but I mean living in a dreary, gloomy place that rains all the time. I think I would be very unhappy, and miserable in such a place, with little sunshine. Speaking of the sun, I am posting this now, so I do not forget about it. There will be a total Solar Eclipse on July 22nd of this year. The last time I saw one, was when I was a teenager, my son is very excited about it.
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend. My sister from NY will be here on Sunday, and we are very excited about that.
Tons of homeschool info, tips, and links. Homeschooling in Florida, plus lots of other great info. Join me on our Homeschool journey. I have been adding to this blog for almost our whole time as homeschoolers, eight years. There is an abundance of info at your fingertips.

Fun Friday 5 Things About Me
1- I am not very photogenic. I really do not even like my picture taken. I think it is hereditary, none of my siblings do either. This picture was taken last August, at Chuck E Cheese. It is about 1 hr from our home, in Florida, and it was about 100 degrees, with no air in the car. I felt wilted, and sweaty lol. However, it was freezing in Chuck E Cheese and wish I had brought a sweater.
2- I am married, with two beautiful children, ages 8, and 4.
3- I am a nurse, only part time now, and have been since the age of 17.
4- We relocated from upstate NY, 4 yrs ago, to Florida to be with my mother who was here all by herself. She suffers from Fibromyalgia, and really needed to be where it was warm, though away from her whole family.
5- I am stubborn, strong willed, confident, but kind, and loving. I am a Leo.
I look forward to everyone in the group sharing 5 things about themselves.
Happy Fun Friday, everyone. Have a great weekend, mine will be crazy, probably for the next 3 weekends.

I Am Looking For A Few Good Bloggers For Blog Support Group
I want to start a group, on Yahoo groups for bloggers, to support each other, leave comments, advice, tips etc. It is free, and open until 100 bloggers have joined. Once I get a few that are interested I will post the link to join the group. It will be easy, just go to the group, at least three times a week, view each blog listed, and leave a pertinent to the topic, comment. Easy, and everyone wins. You can also post topics for discussion on the group. If it gets to where only some people are participating, those that do not will be deleted. It will be capped at 100 blogs, so let me know if you are interested. Please comment me here, or on either of my other blogs, to let me know you are interested.
We are on Spring Break next week, so no lesson plans to post. Spring cleaning, to come.

I Started A Book Give Away Club, Make A Paper Mache Pumpkin
Click to join bookgiveaway
I am honestly tired of talking about Politics. I will be glad when it is over. I have started a free give away book clug. If you are anything like me, you have tons of books, magazines, and other reading material just lying around your house. I have started the club, it is up and running, and it is free. You just post your book, you are offering, and wait for someone to say they want it. Simple, right? You can join using the button provided, in this post, or the button posted above. As a homeschooler, and jewelry maker, I am always looking for new and interesting books. Once you are done with the book, you can either re post it, or keep it if you really love it. Join today, and lets start reading.
As you are all aware, Halloween is right around the corner. Next week in Arts and Crafts, we are going to try making Paper Mache Pumpkins. The directions are simple, and the supply list is just as easy. If you want to try your hand at Paper Mache, go here http://www.kidsturncentral.com/holidays/crafts/hcrafta.htm
For anyone who may be interested, I am going to offer a Layaway service, for all items on my jewelry blog, and Etsy store. Christmas will be here soon. Click my widget, to go to my Etsy store. My jewelry blog is http://www.melissasjewelryandgems.blogspot.com/ Email me for details, if you are interested.

Lesson Plan For 9/15/08, After School Program
Tomorrow, DJ starts going to the after school program, at a local kids center. I chose this option, due to difficulty finding Homeschool groups, that were diverse, and suitable to my needs. I have started a yahoo group, for anyone who lives in Gilchrist County. So if anyone from, my area stumbles across this blog, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gilchristcountyfriends/ to join. Me, and my children, are the only members so far. I dont anticipate anyone joining anytime soon, as it is such a rural area, but I will be advertising it. Caitlin can not go, at this time. They offer a free preschool program, but it is 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week, and that I definately do not want. So she will stay with the free preschool at the local library, one day a week, for an hours. She is enjoying that, and it is perfect for her for now. Our field trip, to the ocean, planned for 9/26/08, may be moved up to the 19th, or postponed, until gas prices become reasonable again.
